Welcome to Hannah's, a unique day care center for supported work in Amsterdam, inspired by Hannah, the mentally handicapped sister of owner Laura. Hannah's search for a loving and suitable day care center has led to the establishment of this special place. Because of Hannah, we at Hannah's know how important a safe and pleasant place is, where attention and involvement are central. We strive for a warm and familiar atmosphere.

Do you also want this at Hannah's? A warm bath, a close-knit team and being part of a place where everyone is seen? At Hannah's we provide customized guidance. What does the participant want and can do? Which hours, which activities, everything in good consultation.

At Hannah's we understand the challenges in finding suitable daytime activities for people with a mild intellectual disability. We offer a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels at home, is seen and where the uniqueness of each individual is celebrated.

At Hannah's we guide our participants on the basis of PGB.

Participants can develop in various roles such as serving, bar work, or in the kitchen. The choice is yours, and you can try everything! The point is that the work is suitable, fun and challenging enough for you. We help you with that.

A place of growth and development

At Hannah's you will learn not only hospitality skills but also how to develop yourself socially. Because you work in a close-knit team and have a lot of contact with the guests, you are working on developing your social skills every day. There is plenty of room for fun and enjoyable moments together.

Monday: Team Day

Every Monday is a special day at Hannah’s. It’s our team day, where we work together on projects, participate in team building activities and get to know each other better.

This is a day to strengthen ties and have fun together.

Tuesday to Friday

From Tuesday to Friday we offer day care with clear roles and responsibilities.

  • In the kitchen: here you can learn to cook and bake, and work on preparing delicious dishes.
  • Behind the bar: develop hospitality skills and learn everything about running a bar.
  • Service: improve your social and service skills by interacting with customers and colleagues.

It's up to you to choose where you feel most at home or where you want to learn new skills.
