The private room behind is a perfect fit for a gathering as it gives an indoor + outdoor feeling!

Food and the service was beyond perfect and our requests were handled with care and flexibility!

"Gezellig" as the Dutch might say (but they would also say "relaxed"). The front has a choice of low and higher tables to sit at and also some comfy couches to lounge. In the back is also a dinning area with an added bonus of catching some sun from the large windows. I assume that the patio will be open as soon as weather permits.

We had the oyster mushroom with flatbread and the merquez sausages on Turkish bread. Both dishes are really nice and flavourfull. We finished lunch with some good coffee and home made sweetness: a spongey banana bread and a chocolate cake. The latter was almost a meal in itself.

Support work programme

In addition to a restaurant, Hannah’s houses supported work programmes where people with intellectual disabilities can learn and develop. People who would otherwise be at home because they cannot do paid work are given the opportunity and space to participate in society at Hannah’s.

It is a place where everyone can be who they are, because despite our differences, we are all human. At Hannah’s, everyone participates and everyone is welcome! This means that your coffee, lunch or aperitif is served with extra love, care and attention.

It is a private initiative that was born out of love for the owner’s sister, Hannah, and other people in society who, like Hannah, have an intellectual disability. Laura

Owner

Hi! I'm Laura, the founder and owner of Hannah's. My sister Hannah is the inspiration for Hannah's, where we create a place in society for people with intellectual disabilities. We do this together with an awesome team that I'm very proud of! Every day is a party at Hannah's.

Keani

Hospitality worker (Supported work)

Meet Keani! Keani is a real joker and often tries to make you laugh, even when you're having a bad day. Sometimes he's more in the mood for a bit of teasing than doing the dishes, but hey: can you blame him? Keani is a real hospitality man and is known for his helpfulness. When can he open the door for you?

Farah

Service (Supported work)

Farah is the youngest member of the team, but is certainly not inferior to the rest. She has learned a lot in the past year, and she increasingly enjoys having a chat at the table. During team dinners, we are always treated to a dance, because Farah is a very good ballet dancer! Come by and experience an afternoon full of taste and dance with Farah!

Judith

Bartender (Supported work)

Judith is always behind the bar on Wednesdays. Judith takes her tasks in the service very seriously, and you can always count on her to do everything very accurately. In her free time, she likes to hit a ball at the hockey club or go to the gym. Discover her hospitality and come by for a pleasant afternoon!

Tanja

Supported work supervisor

Hey! I'm Tanja and I've been working at Hannah's since the opening. Together with the most amazing group of colleagues and participants, we make every day a party. Never a dull moment at Hannah's!

Mike

The Husband

This is MIKE! Laura's boyfriend. Mike can be found behind the bar or in the kitchen to taste if there is anything tasty! You won't see Mike in the foreground that quickly, but he is mainly concerned with the ins and outs of the Hannah's at the back of the Hannah's (business processes, numbers, growth, etc.). Mike loves to come to Hannah's, to taste, share, and celebrate! Will you celebrate your party with Mike?
